GAGA AND PERRY AT CEBU PAC

Nah, I'm not talking about the real "Katy Perry" and "Lady Gaga". But this one certainly made a youtube sensation already. Posted at youtube 2 days ago, this video features Cebu Pacific flight attendants dancing to the tune of Lady Gaga "Just Dance" and Katy Perry's "California Gurls" while doing the routine and otherwise boring safety instruction drills. And they really did prepare with the choreo.

Cebu Pacific is known for odd but sometimes fun stuff aboard. Take for example their onboard games of  "Show Me" or "Name that Tune". But this one is really creative in its own way. I wonder what songs will be their next target and would the male FAs would dance as well? This video is a good advertisement for them showing that it is still fun to fly on a budget airline. ATENEO GRABS RARE THREE-PEAT

It was expected to be intense and so it was. But at the end of Game 2 of the Men's Basketball Finals in the UAAP Season 73, only one team stood above the others and it was Ateneo.

The Blue Eagles capped a wondeful season by twice trouncing the Tamaraws, first trashing them in Game 1 and then nipping FEU by a small margin, 65-62. The Tams led early on the game but fizzled and was not able to contain the championship hungry Ateneo. By doing so, coach Norman Black's troops has accomplished a rare three-peat in the UAAP. They won both the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

The FEU was seeded 1 after the elims and has defeated the Blue Eagles twice in the early stages of the season. But it was not to be for the Tamaraws. Good luck next year. For Ateneo, congratulations and I am not too surprised if early on they will be thinking about next season. The possibility of a four-peat is mouth-watering indeed.

27 AND COUNTING...

Another year added to a life full of everything.
October 3 has been a very special day for me as it is the day of my birthday! Yeah, I am still awake and awaiting for the clock to tick at exactly 12.

The past 26 years was just amazing even though the last 2 years have been somewhat rocky and even times very difficult. Despite that I still found the very beauty and the sheer importance of things. I might have lost some but for sure I still gained a lot and still some of the things remained and even became stronger.

Today marks the start of another year for me. A fresh chapter that is up for the taking. I am gonna celebrate my 27th year with a smile in my face. And I might say, a new hair-do as well. I had my hair braids. =)

So everyone, join me in celebrating this very special day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

JAY PARK INVADES MANILA

This October 3, 2010, Korean pop superstar Jay Park will hit the concert scene in Manila. Park, together with his dance crew Art of Movement (AOM) is gonna perform in front of all die-hard fans at the SMX Convention Center starting at 6 PM. Jay Park is the former frontman of 2 PM and has been one of the most sought after Korean guys here in the Philippines.

IDOL GAMBLES ON TYLER, LOPEZ

Now what is next? A dismal season 9 has suddenly prompted American Idol to do changes - big time. American Idol has launched its new and revamped set of judges. Since last season, Simon Cowell's departure has already been confirmed but the latest shape-ups in the idol panel came into a big surprise. Oh, I'll miss Simon by much. After only one season, Ellen Degeneres gave her intentions of not returning to the show. She cited that admiring talents of young singers is her thing but giving them criticisms and sometimes harsh words is not really her forte. She seems different when in Idol in compared to when in Ellen. Did not like her much in AI. But what came as a surprise was Kara DioGuardi's exit. Reports have shown that she was booted out of Idol. I personally don't like her much but she sure knows her thing as she is an excellent songwriter.

So that leaves Randy Jackson as the only resident host. Then several names crept the net on who will be the replacements? Questions also abound as to howmany judges will there be. Names like Justin Timberlake, Shania Twain and Jessica Simpson were reportedly being eyed. But the first judge to be confirmed was Steven Tyler. When the news came, I was - "WHAT?". I loved Aerosmith but Tyler as a judge, I am not quite sure of.
So okay, Tyler's in but what shocked me was the next announcement. J.Lo. I loved J.Lo when she performs and she has shown that somehow he can act. She was one of the few ones able to grab top spots in both album, song and movies. Is she gonna be the new "Simon"? Will her recent diva attitude bring great criticisms to the contestants? I am not a fan of this decision.

AI is gambling big time this season with these changes. For me, unless the new batch of contestants have the highest level of talent, the new set of judges can't save an ailing "Idol". Maybe, I'll pass this season.

OCTOBER BEGINS

It's officially the first day of October! Yey!
The first day of every month is usually the most diificult in all instances. These are the days when the day seem so slow and that you get too sleepy or easily being caught by boredom. Thank God, I have my Ipod so I turned the wheel and started an earpounding session.
