Towering above everyone else, on could feel the clouds so close yet so far. Life is like this, one day you'll feel the joy of success but always remember that it's not as always. There is always a route back down. Let's just be prepared to land with grace.

Like all of us have dreams that seem so difficult to reach. Let us remember that anything is possible and all we have to do is patiently wait and persevere.

And as we slowly go back down, keep in mind the joy of success and always be thankful for all the blessings, That way, we can always go back up and experience it anew.

Life is colorful indeed. Even at the back of shadows, there's always a glimmer of color waiting to be unleashed.

Red means love yet red means blood as well. But it's not always that blood connotes sadness, we should see it as a symbol of life.

We live different lives everyday but it all ends up to only one destination - that is be with HIM. Our lives while we are here on Earth, is like water. live it and take the flow, but never be afraid to challenge the norms sometimes. You don't have to flow everytime. Sometimes you can make a splash.

ANGEL

In our lives we encounter people or as they may seem. But sometimes we fail to see the wings carefully tucked under their sleeves. We fail to see that what we have in front of us are angels - always there despite anything.

Usually when we're alone or when we're lonely or when we're simply lost, we look far far away for answers, for reasons, for that special someone. We fail to recognize that someone who has been there through thick and thin. These are our angels. They continuously thrive with us through happiness and moreso in difficulties. They keep us warm. They shelter us and protect us from being hurt. Sometimes in that process, they are the ones who get hurt but despite that they remain without any questions.

PHILLIP PHILLIPS IS AMERICAN IDOL SEASON 11 WINNER

Guitar strumming bet Phillip Phillips has won this year's American Idol to become the 5th straight guitar-playing winner of the prestigious talent competition. He bested out Mexican-Filipina-American Jessica Sanchez to a record-breaking 132 million votes casted.

Phillip has been a consistent contender since making the Top 12. His artistry and emotion has made him well loved by the judges and the fans. He's a mix of great artists like Dave Matthew, John Mayer and the like. He has been a consistent competitor as he was never in the bottom 3 except for when he was in the Bottom 2 on the Top 3 results show.

It was a wonderful win for him and for sure he'll also do good in the music industry. My memorable songs from him include "We've Got Tonight", "Beggin", "Disease", "Superstition", "Volcano", and his super sexy rendition of "U Got it Bad".

PHILIPPINE FASHION WEEK HOLIDAY 2012 OFFICIALLY STARTS

The Philippine Fashion Week 2012 officially starts today, May 22, 2012 as they present the Holiday 2012 collection. This edition seems to be the most controlled of all as only a few invites have been given out to the general public. Most of the invites are limited per designer or can be received through purchases for some brands (limited).

The event runs from May 22 - 27, 2012 at the SMX Convention Center and SM Mall of Asia. Several big designer names are again present in the event like Rajo Laurel and Michael Cinco. Some big name brands are also present like Oxygen, Jag, Avon and Bench.

I have tickets for Men's Wear thanks to Simon Ariel Vasquez and Ulysses King. I also have Premiere A tickets. As for the brands I only have Oxygen and Bench with me. Although not sure if I can watch them all. Here us the complete schedule of the Holiday 2012 PFW.

LADY GAGA HAS ARRIVED

One of the hottest and super controversial pop stars in the music industry has finally made her stop in the Philippines - Lady Gaga. While her arrival in the country has not been as warm as others, save for the protests surrounding her beliefs and sexual induced numbers, the show must go on.

The Born This Way Ball has officially started May 21 and will have a second run on May 22. Lady Gaga is sure one big pop star here in the metro as her tickets are selling like hotcakes even with the prices being quite astronomical.

JOLLIBEE FEATURED IN YAHOO AS ONE OF BEST FAST FOOD CHAINS IN THE WORLD

Jollibee, which has been long regarded as a well-loved Filipino fast food chain was featured in Yahoo recently as part of their list of "Best Fast Food Chains in the World". Jollibee was featured alongside England's Pret A Manger and Japan's Ippudo to name a few.

It is once more a testament that Jollibee is the most famous local fast food chain in the Philippines. Who could not resist their Chickenjoy, Regular Yum and all the rest on their menu. What's more interesting is that up to now children still adore the fact of eating in Jollibee much more their lovely mascots.

I LOVE MY MOM

This post might be a little late but still I feel the warmth of the celebration of Mother's Day just this Sunday. I am so lucky that I have my mom as my mom. Definitely she is not perfect but she is the best I could ever wish for. Her love is unconditional and she has constantly embraced me with all her heart. All I could say are wonderful words for her. She is a picture of greatness, composure, kindness, intellect and most of all - LOVE.

We have had hardships along the way but she stood by me and remained strong constantly reminding me to hang on and stay on the fight. I would have not won each battle without. And what's more important is that she was there even when I lost some. You are just there - always there and I know will always be there.

MOVIE REVIEW: THE AVENGERS

One of the most eagerly anticipated movies of 2012 finally arrived and has caused a big wave of buzz in the metro. And this is for good reason. The Avengers stayed true to it being tagged as a blockbuster hit as it has blasted past Philippine box-office records the way Hulk is stomping its enemies. So how does the Avengers fare in terms of overall movie experience.

Bringing up an ensemble cast has always been a challenge in movie making much more if it is for a superhero flick. X-men has done it for some good measures. Fantastic Four did not really do extra well and DC's Justice League has always been shelved, cancelled or not green lighted. But as for the Avengers, a plan was set and that is to introduce some of the groups main stars in their own movies first before doing the entire group thingy. And it actually worked wonders.

The movie revolves on the actual formation of the group. Nick Fury, director of SHIELD was pressed to form a force that could possibly stop the wrath of beleaguered god of Asgard Loki, brother to Thor (or sort of as he's adopted). Loki unleashes his full force attack on earth to capture the one source of great power which is the Tesseract. He comes with ruthless power and blasted SHIELD's office causing alarm to Fury. He then calls on some of the mightiest heroes to join forces in finding the Tesseract.

What really appeals to me is how each character has their own share of introduction into the story which makes you know them for a bit enough for you to be engaged and carry on with the story. Each one from Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) have their own share of screen time. Their stories were carefully sewn into each other making it a seamless connection with all of them. Now the challenge of having eccentric and bipolar individuals was certainly a challenge for Fury and at the end they all did their fare share in fighting together and winning. Even Loki (Tom Hiddleston) did impress once again with his simple yet menacing take on Loki.

We can never ask for super deep storylines in superhero movies as the basic concept of them saving the world is always the basic premise. But "The Avengers" made it more real and with emotions. It did not dive solely on drama and action but induced the normal and occasional doses of comic moments which for me is relatable as if it is normal life they are portraying. The fight scenes, visuals, graphics and sound effects were superb and really gripping. So I would have to say, director Joss Whedon has done a good job. The film did not suffer from the star complex issue which we normally see for big ensemble movies.

This is definitely a 5 out of 5 popcorns. (Remember to stay on after the credits as there is a teaser on who would be the next enemy for the sequel)

I LEARNED FROM THE BEST

Reminiscing. This is one of the songs I really loved from Whitney Houston, It tells us one great story of learning and moving on. There are certainly struggles but with strength and will to survive, everything is possible. The past is the past and one should not dive too much from it.
