MOVIE REVIEW: MADAGASCAR 3: EUROPE'S MOST WANTED

Does Afro Circus ring a bell? If so, then you have definitely watched the 3rd installment of the Madagascar series. I was a bit hesitant at first as I did not enjoy the 2nd one by much but by watching the trailer, the movie did tickled my interest. And so we go for a third ride.

This time Alex (Lion), Marty (Zebra), Gloria (Hippo) and Melman (Giraffe) are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple and is up for one heck of an adventure as they travel to Europe just to reach their "home" - Central Park Zoo. In the idea of resuing their beloved penguins who were seemingly not interested in being rescued, they attracted a lot of attention causing them to be chased by Captain Chantel Dubois, a cruel and skillfully adept animal policewoman who is eagerly wanting to add a lion's head to her collection. Along the way they found a great disguise and that is through a circus currently being led by Vitaly (tiger), Gia (lioness) and Stefano - somewhat an oddball but kind character.

The story becomes a rollercoaster of a ride from there. Aside from the fun antics the original cast has provided as akin to the first 2 films, the movie triumphed in making its material fresh. The antics and jokes delivered were new and keeps people interested. The chase scenes were hilarious and off the hook. The final circus act was stunningly and visually wonderful making movie experience a wow!

As usual the voice talents of Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett-Smith and the ever loveable Chris Rock is an added strength to this movie's appeal. Apart from the great comedic timing and the wonderful animation, Madagascar 3 also won over people's hearts. It showed a lot of realization in terms of finding home and making every single thing in our lives special. While some animated features have failed to really put a mark on their message, the lovely animals have made their statement up to point.

This one's a winner for me. 5 out of 5 popcorns.
