Narcosis - One of Fadal's top designers Ulysses King brings his drawing board underwater and derives inspiration from the colours of the deep and the consciousness-altering culture of scuba diving. His Spring Summer 2012 collection features a bold combination of black and neon tones which translates to a bright summer outlook for next year. Staying true to his signature style which involves sharp geometric details, great choices of accessories and an out-of-the-box picture on fashion, Uly made one fun and striking collection.

Uly's set saw models clad in bikinis, board shorts, trousers, bodycons and even cool jackets - reversible ones with graphic prints. (I ordered one actually, the one Ivan wore). While most of the designers opted for the safe black and earth tone colors in their sets, Uly once again braved it and chose to go neon and bright together with black base. He successfully translated the underwater theme to the fashion runway. The details and patterns on the bikinis are evident making it different from the other designs. The concept revolves on "altered consciousness" that is adaptable, high-spirited, instinctive and playful.

The entire collection was commendable but I have my personal favorites. The hoodies (white and neon combination) was perfect and I also ordered one of which. The reversible jackets is also a good catch as you get to have 2 jackets in one. One side of which can be used for formal/semi-formal occasions while the one with the graphic print can be used in smart casuals or even on your regular gimik days.

Aside from the strong line-up of clothes for Narcosis, it is also to be noted that the models really carry themselves well from Derick Hubalde, Philip Escalambre, Ernest De Lumban, Christian Dela Cruz, Carlo Gonzales, James Zablan and Ram Sagad. And showcasing his designs are some celebrities as well - Ivan Dorschner, Markki Stroem and real-life sweethearts Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero.
