ABS-CBN ANNOUNCES SOME SHOWs LINED UP FOR 2017

Annually, during their traditional Christmas Trade Launch, the country's leading network, ABS-CBN shares to the public the list of some new shows they are targeting to show in the coming year. It is important to note however that while a lot have taped some clips or teasers, it is still not 100% sure that these shows will get the final green light like Habang May Buhay (Dolphy) and just most recently Written In The Stars (Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga). 2017's list promises to be a mix bag of surprises as the network are trying some new concepts and some new love interests.

First up is the much awaited new installment to the well loved Lobo and Imortal series, this time starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. With a title that suggests this would be fiercer, La Luna Sangre will surely get Kathniel fans glued to their TV sets.

Celebrating their 10th year in the industry, Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin marks the reunion of well loved tandem of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. This would be tricky as how fans of the 2 will react with this combination. Kim as we all know has his frequent love team Xian Lim and Gerald has been partnered with several other ladies on and off the camera.

Maja Salvador will be featured in her solo series that revolves around revenge. Based on the trailer, this would be an intense gripping suspense drama which will definitely highlight Maja's acting chops as well as her sexiness.

My Dear Heart puts ABS-CBN again on track of showcasing new brilliant child stars. This time it would be Nayomi Ramos who will be the main child star on this heart-warming drama. The series stars Zanjoe Marudo, Bella Padilla and Connie Reyes among others. Based on the clips of the show, this is definitely gonna be a tear-jerker.

One brave move again from the network is the combination of new people to form love teams. This time it'll be Ian Veneracion and Bea Alonzo's turn to make us feel the wonders of love. A Love To Last is one series I am looking forward to as it has to deal with love, the perfect timing for which and the over-all challenges dealing with the emotions.

The Promise of Forever pits new love team as well. Paolo Avelino finally gets his starring piece with Ritz Azul on her breakthrough show for the Kapamilya network. This has some similarities with other Korean stories but I am curious on how the chemistry of the two will work and how well it will translate in the TV screen. Love and time. This is gonna be interesting.

Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids Edition will be the show's 3rd installment and with new Kapamilya Ogie Alcasid joining Sharon Cuneta and Gary V as the judges for this show, things would be a tad funnier as the kids will have their chance to shine with young stars like Alonzo Muhlach, Lyca Gairanod, Elha Nympha, and Awra Briguela joining the reality show.


2017 is shaping up to be another great year for the Kapamilyas.
