2018 TOP ASIANOVELA ACTORS

2018 made waves in the Asianovela landscape as more and more actors bring the glitter in the TV screens. Here are the best of the past year.

1. Park Seo-Joon
We can't simply get enough of Park Seo-joon. This handsome actor has made fans all over love him even more with his role in "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?" in 2018. He remains to be one of the most followed Korean actors in social media.

2. Lee Seung-Gi

"Hwayugi" was an overwhelming success in 2018 and that proved Lee Seung-gi's stellar power. Aside from the well loved series, he also served as host in the TV show "Produce 48". We hope to see more of him this year.

3. Yoo Seung-ho

It was one busy year for Korean actor Yoo Seung-ho. With his successful series "I Am Not a Robot" wrapping up in 2018, he followed it up with another well-received series "My Strange Hero" which continues to do well up to now.

4. Kim Soo-hyun

His last TV series before his military enlistment was way back in 2015 with "The Producers" but his strong media following is a proof of how well-loved this actor is. His last film was also in 2017's "Real" but he remains one of the most googled Korean celebrities of this generation.

5. Park Bo-gum

2018 was another steady year for Park Bo-gum with his latest series "Encounter" as one of the best there is from the past year. It makes us love him even more and with a lot of endorsements and ads as well, he remains one of the most sought actors of Korea.

6. Cha Eun-woo

As a member of the Kpop group Astro, Cha Eun-woo is one of the few Kpop stars to be able to successfully jump into a successful TV career. He starred in the well-loved "My ID is Gangnam Beauty" in 2018 plus the web Tv series "Top Management" and we hope to have more of him this year.

7. Kim Jung-hyun

The youth series "Welcome to Waikiki" and the melodrama "Time" made Kim Jung-hyun's 2018 quite a busy year in the small screen and he is starting to move to higher grounds in the Korean entertainment industry.

8. Go Kyung-pyo

Go Kyung-pyo gave us his series "Cross" just before he enlisted himself in the military last May. This actor-comedian will surely be missed this year but we can't wait to have him back after military.

9. Lee Seo-won

2018 was a mixed bag for Lee Seo-won. While he remains to have a solid following but the issues and controversies really was the main focus of his past year. His removal in "Music Bank" as host came in the heels of the criminal charges he faced this year regarding sexual harassment. He then decided to enlist later last year in the military.

10. Dylan Wang

Chinese star Wang Hedi or who we commonly know as Dylan Wang shoot to everyone's list of well-loved stars in 2018. And with his role in the "Meteor Garden" remake, he just gained more and more followers. He also became one of the new models for local brand "Bench".

11. Yeo Jin-goo

We did not have any major TV drama for Yeo Jin-goo but he is a regular in the reality show "4 Wheeled Restaurant". He is about to star in the upcoming "Hotel Del Luna" with IU. We can't help but anticipate his return to TV drama in 2019.

12. Seo Kang-Joon

Are You Human? was one of the great shows of 2018 and Seo Kang-Joon surely made his fans and followers rejoice. This well-followed social media icon and actor is set to star in "The Watcher" this 2019.

13. Nam Da-Reum

I still have the chills and desire for "While You Were Sleeping" in 2017 but he followed up strong in 2018 with his most recent series "Radio Romance", "Come Hug Me" and "Where Stars Land". And we are pleasantly happy with those.

14. Lee Jong-Suk

With a string of great series like "W", "Pinocchio", "Doctor Stranger" and "While You Were Sleeping", Lee Jong-suk has definitely solidified himself as one of the TV royalties in Korea and although he only did a drama special "The Hymn of Death" he still made waves all over media.

15. Kim Min-kyu

Actor-model Kim Min-kyu is a well loved Korean actor and although his series are not as successful as others in this list, he still has tons of followers and fans and we hope he gets more shows this 2019.

16. Nam Joo-hyuk

Filipino fans may know him with his "Penshoppe" endorsement in 2017 and while 2016's "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo" remains to be his most notable show to date, he is part of the new wave of Korean stars gaining more and more popularity.
