MOUSE HOUSE FINALLY ACQUIRES FOX

Finally after months of speculations and news headlines, the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney took place on March 20, 2019. Among other key assets, the acquisition included the 20th Century Fox film and television studios, U.S. cable/satellite channels such as FX, Fox Networks Group International, a 73% stake in National Geographic Partners, Indian television broadcaster Star India, and a 30% stake in Hulu.

Notable titles that will be joining the Walt Disney fray would be the Star Wars franchise, the upcoming Avatar would be franchise and several Fox TV series and shows. This has been months in the making and legal difficulties seemed a barrier to this deal being formalized.

But what is more exciting for moviegoers and the general public is the fact that the long awaited Marvel characters that have been away with Fox will now have a chance of being seen in the highly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. The first family Fantastic 4, the mutants like X-Men and Deadpool and high profile villains like Magneto and Doctor Doom are now with the House of Mouse.
