2018 TOP PINOY FEMALE ATHLETES

The Filipina sporting ladies did well in 2018 with specially at the Asian Games where they won over the golds for the county's paltry haul in Indonesia. Aside from that, these other lady athletes made their presence felt in their respective fields.


1. Hidilyn Diaz
Diaz managed to bag a gold at the Asian Games to the delight of local fans. The 3 time Olympian and Silver medalist at the Olympics is sure on keen on getting that elusive SEA Games gold this year in the Philippines.


2. Margielyn Didal
Skateboard ace Didal made the country proud as she nailed another gold for the RP team at the Asian Games. Didal is a highly ranked skateboarder in the world and is a heavy favorite as well at this year's SEA Games.


3. Jaja Santiago
Jaja lands herself as an import in Japan playing for Ageo Medics. This former NU stalwart has continued her vast improvements and although their team failed to snag a medal at the Asian Games, she has shown steady advancements in the world of volleyball.


4. Yuka Saso
Yuka Saso became a double gold medalist for Golf in the recently concluded Asian Games. This young 17 year old is one of the hottest young lady athletes of the country now.


5. Alyssa Valdez
With the monicker "Phenom", Alyssa is truly the most famous and arguably one of the more talented volleyball players in the country. Her stint with Creamline Cool Smashers was rewarded with 2 championship titles and MVP awards to boot.


6. Agatha Wong
Don't be fooled by this beauty as she can be fierce if the need arises. This Wushu star has been delivering medal after medal for the RP team and is keen to add more in the coming SEA Games.


7. Alex Eala
This young tennis star is starting to make a move at the ITF Girls Tour and made as far as the 2nd round of qualifiers at the French Open Girls tournament in 2018.


8. Jack Animam
Basketball in the Philippines has long been a predominantly male focused sport, but with Animam in the national pool, the ladies side is starting to gain some respect and following as well. She hopes to take the country to its first SEA Games Women's basketball gold at the SEA Games this year.


9. Jia Morado
Jiamazing is the best female setter of the country now and with a strong on and off court acumen, she may be diminutive in compared to others but can decisively win points on the court.


10. Ara Galang
This former DLSU stand-out continues her strong showing in the pro leagues and hopes to keep representing the country in international competitions for volleyball.


11. Rubilen Amit
Amit is the top ranked Filipina billiards player of the country and has delivered several championships already and she isn't stopping yet with another SEA Games stint being eyed this year.


12. Margarita Ochoa
Jiujitsu has found a strong fanbase for the country much so with great female athletes like Margie. She is one of the consistent performers in the national pool.


13. Kristina Marie Knott
This Fil-Am sprinting prodigy hopes to continue to improve in her quest to bring back the glory days of athletics to the country.


14. Kim Fajardo
This ace setter continues to be one of the more formidable volleyball stars of the country and she continues after her collegiate days with La Salle and is lording over the pro leagues.


15. Mary Joy Tabal
This Filipina marathoner and a gold medalist in the 2017 SEA Games may have failed to land gold at the Asian Games but remains to be one of the brightest hopes in women's track events.
