MOVIE REVIEW: RANGO

Animated film Rango has been one of the few hits in this lackluster first quarter of movies. This film which features the voice of super talent Johnny Depp as Rango was a nice film. Nickelodeon was part of making this film so expect something that's a bot odd yet special. We all know that Nick is known for doing cartoons for special children.

And though this film is not entirely based on that premise, you can still see some of that in the entire movie. The conflict presented in the film was nice in that one is responsible for his or her own destiny. One can relate to the idea of searching for own worth. And that alone makes me feel that it's not really intended for kids because of that deep message.

The film was fun and the music was really nice and hilarious. Even if I see the characted of Rango on screen I still see a great deal of Johnny Depp in him which was simply great. I am a bit bothered by some of the cartoon characters as I feel they appear to be a bit freaky in some ways from which kids might be scared by a bit. Rango was nice but not monumental. 3 out of 5 popcorns.
