The final installment in the successful game series Final Fantasy finally got its world-wide release last November 29 and ever since then the game has stormed into the houses of several gamers young and the more matured ones alike. Final Fantasy XV is an open world action role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One home consoles.
FF XV takes place in the earth-like world of Eos which is divided in 3 continents. The brand new installment revolves around the main character who is the only playable player in the game, Noctis Lucis Caelum, the crown prince of Lucis together with his fiancé Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, an Oracle and a former princess. They are joined in the game by 3 main characters: Gladiolus Amicitia, Noctis' bodyguard; Ignis Scientia, a prodigy military tactitian and Prompto Argentum who is Noctis' friend.
The game's combat, soundtrack, visuals, open world design, lead characters and ending is really highly commendable. One who is a traditional FF fan would love to take another stab into the world of Final Fantasy and will surely enjoy it. New gamers would also find the game interesting as it somehow stands independent of other FF titles. A bit of downside however is that unlike most FF game installments. I find this story rather normal and characters don't have the bravado or charisma of previous FF leads like Cloud of FF 7, Squall of FF 8 or Tidus of FF 10. Overall, the popularity of this game series has somehow waned through the years but still this is a noteworthy addition to your game collections.
