PFW SS 2012: XERNAN ORTICIO'S MECHA-SYMMETRY

Another fashion designer whose collection I loved in the "Design Fusion" show was that of Xernan Orticio. Aptly theme "Mecha-symmetry, Xernan's designs saw a big deal of Japanese inspiration yet done in an exotic and unique kind of way. The Japanese-inspired collection is a set composed of designs majority of which in silk material (off-white, cream). The accents came with the fuschia trimmings and clustered pearls as embellishments. Again, Xernan showed as patterns as eveidenced by the origami-type designs and cuts and precise tailoring.

This PEFTA designer has sure wowed the audience once more with this most recent collection. Each piece is sharply presented and despite the presence of only 2 color tones, still fueled interest from the fashion gurus. The head accessories were also a big part of the whole Japanese robotic theme. Xernan once more showed that he is one of the designers to always look forward to every Philippine Fashion Week. Great job.
