NADAL COMPLETES CAREER GRAND SLAM

The delay in the US Open Final did not prevent Rafael Nadal to complete his career grand slam further etching into the history books of tennis. Nadal's feat is so incredible that he is only the 7th player to accomplish that feat.

For the US Open he only dropped a set once during the final against Djokovic. It is his 1st US Open in his first try in the finals. Prior to 2010, he has not progressed beyond the semifinals in Flushing Meadows. But his time has finally come. With the victory he grabbed his 9th slam title overall. He has 1 Australian Open (2009), 5 French Opens and 2 Wimbledons already to his name. Add the Beijing Olympics gold medal to that and you might see a future legend in the making.

At this rate, Nadal has already surpassed Federer's Grand Slam haul during this age. Hopes are high however that the 24 year old Spaniard stays healthy in able for him to add up to his trophies and further cement his place as one of the best.
