TOM DALEY WINS 2ND GOLD AT COMMONWEALTH GAMES

World champion Tom Daley has struck gold twice already in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in India. A day after taking the 10 m synchro gold with diving partner Max Brick last Tuesday, Tom captured the gold as well in the 10 m platform besting top opponent Matthew Mitcham of Australia (already featured in my blog). This means he already has 2 golds in this edition of the Commonwealth Games.

16-year Daley has been England's big hope for glory in diving. He represented UK (Great Britain) in the 2008 Beijing Olympics where he finished 7th in the 10 m platform. A year later at the World Championships in Rome, Daley won the 10 m platform thus cementing his position among the top divers in the world beating 2 Chinese men along the way - Qiu Bo and Zhou Luxin.

Tom Daley has been touted by British officials and sportsmen as one of their best hopes for gold in the 2012 London Olympics. By then, he's 18 and for sure will be one favorite to snag the top podium position. Aside from his success on the diving arena, he has been doing photoshoots for Speedo and doing covers in different magazines in Britain and across the world. Well, who could resist those nice biceps, pecs and gorgeous body. Plus he has an angelic face that many people really love. Well, girls, guys and anything in between , just a reminder he's only 16. =)
